It's embarassing. They have even had some coaches that should have made them okay but yeah... they suck.
Should have never fired the fat man.
And to think that they were once a winner under Mangino.
Think they regret hiring Charlie “Cheesburger” Weiss over mike leach how many years ago?
To be fair, they had to be pretty sturdy to be under Mangino.

Weis did a number to that program. Biggest fraud in football coaching in my lifetime.
Kansas won an Orange Bowl under the Fat Man Mangino, and have gone so far into the tank since then they may never come back, if the Big 12 implodes.
The fat man won there with zero investment from the admn in football. they have a terrible MAC liike stadium and really nothing at all.
I do not know exactly what Mangino did to get fired but maybe they should have given him a second chance. He was morbidly obese, but is still alive, so that might have meant a couple more big time bowls for them.
They hired the bible thumping guy from Buffalo, now this guy, and they both were awful, on top of the Charlie Weiss debacle.
Outside Glenn Mason and Mangino, Kansas football has been as bad as it gets. I'd suggest they hire someone like Sarkesian or fat Bert Bielema asap.

Kansas is a basketball school through and through. Unlike Duke, and Indiana to a lesser extent, they are doubling down on being a basketball-first school. Football is not a priority at Kansas.
However as far as the Big 12 is concerned they cannot abandon Kansas because they are the class of the conference in basketball.
And ironically their only savior in recent history was LOL FATGINO - anddddd...they fired his ass. Back to the dumpster. W
Classic example of a fanbase and boosters becoming spoiled and getting greedy when they get a taste of success. If hard times return, they forgot who brought them success in the first place. Careful what you wish for. The Fat Man continues to laugh.
The school was basically left with little choice but to run Mangino. He was abusive to his players to the point of a players revolt. He had also made a lot of enemies both at the university and the community with his abhorant behavior. He was also expelled from attending high school games in Lawrence when he abused his field pass at a game, and attacked an official during a game when he didn't like a call made against his son. Not saying that they made good hires since then. Probably a good reason they've gone through a couple of AD's in that time period as well.
Just to clarify, this is the same Nichols State team that almost beat Georgia on the road two seasons before, losing by two points.
Just saying, people constantly dismiss these teams, when it becomes more apparent all the time that "On any given day".........No, it's not. That was two seasons ago. That team was awesome!
For those a bit older than myself. Who is worse? KU now or KState pre-Snyder? I understand they were garbage as well.
Don’t look now but KU has a two game win streak and just pummeled Rutgers at home.
