Ummmm, hate to break it to ya,but you do realize that Nebraska beat Michigan State's mighty Spartans, right? And Sparty held off that juggernaut from Purdue for a resounding 24-21 victory. So sure, MSU is invincible. LOL
Uh, in 2010 Iowa beat MSU 36-7. Iowa came in as the underdog. When will people understand that they play the games for a reason...
I like the OP's prediction, but this game could go lots of different ways. On paper...LOL...the teams could hardly be more alike if they were twins.
But on the field, in the dome, in perfect conditions, I could see Iowa's offense unleashing a points barrage. I could see CJ slicing and dicing the MSU pass defense, then Iowa's RB committee pounding and racing away from the MSU stalwarts. CJ's health and weather conditions--not to mention some standard conservative play calling--have limited Iowa's offense. But despite that, Iowa averaged over 30 points a game in Big Ten play.
So I hope that this is the game where Iowa's offense reaches its full potential, takes advantage of the perfect conditions and CJ's improved health to batter MSU. Wouldn't we all love to see the Hawkeyes destroy the Spartans? I don't need another nail-biter. And I think the facts could be pointing toward a major Hawkeye margin of victory.
A 20-point Hawkeye win is clearly possible. Absolutely. Something like Iowa 44, MSU 24...why not?
