I am hoping Harding and thelwel stay for the guard court; Dix back would be great as with Freeman

I have to admit that I have been watching replays of games this year and not every minute at all. I have Fran Fatigue which is a tough illness.

But whatever the coaching situation, Harding has been getting better, he can penetrate, Thelwel also of course, been a long time since we have had two quicker guards who can
really bend and dent a defense. Hardings long range shooting seems to be better.

Dix can dribble drive and is a very good player. Pryce S can shoot decent and he has some really good handles on a wing drive to the hoop.

If Freeman stays then and with the rest of the players I think the hawks might be better next year record wise. This year they just had their shooting %age disappear at times.

Do we have a ready to play recruit or two coming in?

Dix and Cooper Koch are the two I want back the most.

I can’t imagine Thelwell being eligible for another year, but who knows with the NCAA, I guess.

Pryce has mostly impressed me with his ability to finish around the rim. A couple of months ago I didn’t really care if he played or not, but he’s shown that he can compete at this level. Similar to Dembele to a lesser extent.

Traore may have the biggest upside on the team, but we still wait for it to click. He’s hard to get a read on because he always looks angry and unhappy.

I like Harding and think he can play at this level when the game slows down for him. His vision is off the charts. He’s got decent handles, but does tend to get out of control. If he shoots like he did yesterday, you’ve got to find a spot for him. He was definitely the spark Iowa needed.

Yes to all your points. I am sure the Miami transfer and Joshua Lewis will be ready to play and I am confident Badara Diakete (6’10”) would be able help too. Could be a very solid team !

My guess is we'll see some fireworks with transfers out and we are likely losing Dix and Freeman which will mean we don't have much Above average talent left on the roster. Those two will want more NIL money and chance to play on winning team, not a rebuild.

Harding has been mentioned as a possible transfer out. I don't think he'll get much high Power conference interest because of his size. Maybe Hoiberg would take him as he took worse players like Ahron Ulis and Essinger from Wisconsin. My guess is Brock stays.

Pryce probably can match Payton as a junior next year and should stick around. Thelwell might not get another year. If Dix is gone, we don't have much guard talent and Fran's incoming class doesn't have guards, so where is the guard talent?. We will be more athletic than Fran's past squads, but being Athletic while lacking basketball skills does't get you very far.

Hiring a new guy at least means that guy could reshape roster and make a step function change.

Michigan had a lot transfer out but they brought in a lot of talent to go from last to 3rd place in a year. Will be interesting to see what new pieces are added.

Traore did show some potential. He just has his game face on, that's all, not much different than Dix in that regard. That's how I always played every sport, although that was a while ago. That might be one of the biggest differences between the men's and women's games. Not many men do a lot smiling and laughing during competition. Lots and lots of the women do, especially the Hawkeyes, although they have some good game faces too.

If Harding were properly coached, he could become another Braden Smith, IMHO. He has the quickness and moxy that can't be taught. Teach him how to use his talents and you'd have a mighty fine player.

Pryce Sandfort and Dix would be good to hang onto, especially Dix, and maybe Koch, but he didn't play nearly enough to gage his ability.

I can tell you that Cooper Koch is going to be pretty good at this level. I just hope his “legacy” status keeps him in Iowa City.

I like Harding as much as the next guy, maybe even more, but I’m not sure what you’re smoking with the properly coached / Braden Smih comparison. Seems like a giant leap to get there.

Going by that Tweet by Harding that was linked before - unless it was a 'joke' post by him, for some reason - about people in the social media sphere riding his ass, I would be very surprised if BH is a Hawkeye by the time next season starts.

Especially with Freeman officially gone now.
