I am starting to think Marco Rubio is going to win this thing...

IDK that he "deserves it". If Rubio does win this though, he can't follow it up with a 5th place finish in NH which looks likely.

I've watched him rise up the political ladder here in Florida. He's youthful, intelligent, and charismatic. The worst dirt anyone has been able to dig up on him is his wife's traffic tickets and some financial struggles with a second home in Tallahassee that he shared with another Florida legislator. Compared to Hillary and all her baggage, he's a choirboy.

I didn't follow it real carefully but wasn't there some malfeasance regarding an official republican credit card?

Yeah, forgot about that non-issue:

The release shows he did make eight personal purchases on the card — a practice for which he has been criticized by rivals — but his campaign insisted he reimbursed American Express $7,200 for them.

“Some of these charges are from more than 10 years ago, and the only people who ask about them today are the media and our political opponents,” Rubio spokesman Todd Harris said. “We are releasing them now because Marco has nothing to hide.”

Agreed that Rubes is pretty clean. Even his GOP credit card story is of little interest to me.

I have a strong dislike for Rubio, but the extreme lengths that the media has gone to smear him are just pathetic.

Remember the story about his wife's speeding tickets? And that was in the freaking New York Times!

Check out the last 5 or 6 polls. Rubio will be in the 20's tonight, just a feeling I am getting.

Every election the conservative posters here have a "feeling" about how things are going to go, which is completely contrary to the polls.

Every election the polls win.

Nate Silver says 18%. If I were pulling for Rubio in the primaries (and I am) I would be okay with something in that range -- it would be good for it to become a 3-man race; so the other sane voters could get behind Rubio and hopefully push him in front of the two disasters that are currently leading.

Rubio will be left licking Trump's boots trying to get the veep spot. That is his big chance to get on the ticket.

At this point, yes. Rubes just hasn't gone for it this election. He's been mired in third place since summer and seems content to stay there. He's the Kirk Ferentz of candidates. Dude is playing not to lose. Good strategy to stay out of trouble, but terrible strategy to inspire people to vote for you.

That's a good point, we probably do need to see a birth certificate got 100% proof. It also should have the raised seal on it.

I know you guys are trolling, but even real birthers don't question his birthplace, they instead suggest that he's not a "natural born citizen" because his parents didn't naturalize until 1975.

I hope so. Rubio is a good guy and deserves it.

Rubio's new Iowa ads are hilarious. It is so painfully obvious someone in his campaign focus grouped him and found out people don't like that he ne never smiles. Now he has this forced grin throughout both of his "get out and caucus" videos. That dude is one of the most awkward cats since Nixon. Remember this?...

I never understood why taking a sip of water was such a big deal. What if he had a frog in his throat? He would have been roundly ridiculed if he sounded like this:

Of course, Hillary always gets a pass.
