WASN'T mentioned much. We all know how great he is. I think it shows how much talent we have. As a first year guy, he is the best i can remember. Almost any other year this century, he probably would have been the featured player.
Interesting, that was one of my thoughts after I watched the interview. Except for his health problems last year, there isn't much not to like about CJ, for a first-year player. Fran must believe that CJ doesn't need to be praised to perform. It would be fun to watch practices, especially the exterior positions, which are deeper than any time in decades.WASN'T mentioned much. We all know how great he is. he was gonna walk on, if I recall correctly; then a scholarship freed upFredrick went from an afterthought to a revelation.
it's CJs fault he's not getting more attention. Should have stayed home and gone to weaker team like kentucky instead of a top 5 team like Iowa!WASN'T mentioned much. We all know how great he is. CJF is going to take a huge leap and play himself into an NBA contract by the end of his junior year. He reminds me so much of Tyler Herro; lights out shooter, intense defender, decent speed, and not afraid to put the ball on the ground and embrace contact at the rim.
Omg yes this is who I was saying he reminded me of last season. Cj also has that fearless confident persona like tyler.CJF is going to take a huge leap and play himself into an NBA contract by the end of his junior year. I love Frans style of play. A lot of people will bitch, including myself, that he fails to call timeouts during runs made by the other team but it’s all in an effort to tire the other team out. It’s why they push the ball after every made basket, they try to push the pace for 40 minutes to see if your wind is where it needs to be
this is brilliant in a big ten conference because most teams are ovesized and play a slow tempo. Usually around the 8 minute mark of the second half you start to see this pace start to take root. In games against Minnesota, Wisconsin, and others we saw the hawks be down 8 or 9 point late in the game but they were still able to execute their offense because they’re built a little smaller and don’t seem to tire like the muscle bound big ten teams.
I was at the Minnesota game and you could see on their face late in the game that they were dead especially Oturo.
as mentioned above, the depth of this team is a huge asset in this department. I understand the gripe of not liking a 10 man rotation but if you want to keep your advantage you have to keep your main guys fresh. Mix in a prolific 3 point shooting team and this team will be hard to put away late in games.
