My wife (no pics) and I frequent some other fan boards. She’s primarily a disgruntled fan of another team and, over the years, has developed a love for the Hawkeyes and our fans. She’s had a blast at the B1G CCG in Indy, even though we have been blown out.
Anyway, my point is, this board has good conversation, peppered with good insights, humor, sarcasm, debate, etc., that we have rarely seen on other fan base boards. I know some folks get upset and may not appreciate the variety, hoping only for serious insights, but the variety really encapsulates all we love about IOWA fans.
Most fan outlets seem to be dominated with seriousness, sarcasm, hatred, or shame, without any appreciation for humor, differing insights and debate, or worse, they’re just not very active.
This board makes us laugh, keeps us curious, let’s us be skeptical fans, and reminds us of all the times we’ve traveled to Hawkeye games and enjoyed being around IOWA fans.
HAWKEYE fans really are, overwhelmingly, some of the nicest, smart, funny, hospitable, and well-traveled football fans.
