FIFY.& won
I’m not sure how you explain our bowl game blowouts, unless you think those coaches know our scheme in and out.We play poorly against teams with tenured coaches (NW and MSU) that know the Iowa scheme in and out. We do much better against teams with coaching carousels.

Iowa typically beats poor teams and loses to better teams. Even matchups are pretty much tossups like today. Its pretty simple.
So... a green two year B1G coach can’t do that? After how many years does a coach have to be around to figure it out then? They have month to figure us out. Watch tape, call other coaches for advice. They have plenty of time to game plan and figure us out and have their team ready.
And his players executed when they had to.He coached circles around numb nuts...
Seems like we should try to put our guys in a better position to execute. A lot of high school coaches could send our guys out with any game plan and tell them that if they execute they’ll win. But there’s a little more to it than that. And his players executed when they had to.
FIFY.
This was not a good looking game for Iowa’s players or coaches.
They also won, what, 3 or 4 games last year? People on here would blow up Kinnick if we won 3 games in a season.
Welcome to AA next week and pray lewerke does not try to run 12 times against Michigan's defense. Football was not invented 10 years ago.Yeah but we finished in the top 6 nationally with two major bowl wins, a playoff appearance, and two conference titles the 3 years previous.
And it didn't help that MSU was working over a new Iowa corner.Easy to scout and develop a game plan for Iowa. That's the crappy part of playing so vanilla. Execution was great in the 1st quarter for MSU and that won them the game.
