I hate Gonzaga

I find it hard to hate on Gonzaga. This was a cow college playing in empty gyms in the 90s. Mark Few could have done the Monson route but he stuck in Spokane.

I know the Duke's and Kentucky's and UCLA's aren't going anywhere, but even after all this time it still feels to me like they're crashing the party a bit and its hard not to admire that.

Agree

Don’t really hate the Zags or anybody on the team. I hate the fact that they can run the table while playing in an incredibly weak conference. I want to see them lose solely so they don’t become the first undefeated team ever... almost wish that Kentucky team with Towns, Booker, Ulis, and the Harrison twins would’ve ran the table back in 2015

They wouldn't be the first. 75-76 Hoosiers.

They beat a 2 seed (our Hawkeyes) in non-conference and had Baylor scheduled but cancelled due to Covid. They did their part scheduling non conference foes to offset their weaker conference. Fitting they meet Baylor in final, as if the college basketball gods give a middle finger to Covid for the early season cancellation. They win Monday, they earned it. And they are entertaining as hell to watch.

Still they play in a weak conference like the Harlem globetrotters playing against the generals.

As stated earlier Indiana did it most recently, but also:
UCLA went undefeated 4 times 64, 67, 72, 73
North Carolina in 57
San Francisco in 56

I need to brush up on my hoops history 😬 Was thinking that when Kentucky was going on their run in 2015 that people were talking about them being the first undefeated team, not the first undefeated team since ‘76. Oops
