They can only get better from the start of the season and what they did tonight without the best newcomer shows what they're capable of.

Clowns started five seniors that have been playing in college programs for four or five years. Hawks started three freshmen, including two true freshmen. Those three freshmen are the 3-5th best players on the squad. All of those kids have demonstrated big upside. This year will have its ups and downs but the next three appear much, much better.
These freshmen, and the Grizz, all appear aggressive and much more decisive than the Woodbury/Gesell/Clemmons/Uthoff generation. Not comparing to the Fab Five but a very good group for the Hawks. Seem like the kind that will only get better.
