you can’t always get what you want!
stumbling, bumbling incoherent drunks since the last Iowa football game I attended.
The Marienplatz is covered with puke and strewn with drunks in search for more beer. Kind of reminded me of the Ped Mall early on a Saturday game day morning. There is nothing like the smell of puke in the morning breeze.
Munich is a beautiful city. I believe "Oktoberfest" is Latin for "beer, brats and breasts." However, there is no shortage of drunken folks.

That sounds about the same as when I was there almost 20 years ago (wow, that long?). Glad to hear nothing's changed. A word of advice to ya, don't get stuck on a train where you have to sit on one of the smoking chairs in the hall where there are about 35 of those drunks who will sing the refrain from Country Roads for the entire four hour train ride.

Haha was just there a few weeks ago. Actually on the way to catch my flight back to the states. A couple of those puke stains are probably from my friends and I...

Such an awesome time. If you can get a table, the hofbrauhaus tent is much more recommended than the lowenbrau tent. I especially enjoy the hofbrau Schwarz (black) beer. Some of the best I've ever had.

I've got some fantastic video of beerlesen (Beer corpses) stumbling about etc. l would come back every year if it wasn't so damn expensive

Edit. I was there last week for the first week of the festival. We didn't queue for 7 hours the first day just to watch the mayor tap the first keg tho. F that shyt

My bride and I sat in Houfbrau and watched this little wisp of a Spanish gal (couldn't have been 110 lbs.) knock down two liters of beer in about 15 minutes....and she was enjoying another as we left.
Damn kids.....I don't know where they put it!
The place was a great experience.....Ooom pa pa band and all.

Why do y'all sing a song about West Virginia?

In Germany, Oktober Fest is celebrated 12 months a year.
In Iowa City, Oktober Fest is celebrated every month but
January, February and March due to cold weather.

No idea. I actually like the song. But after the 678th time hearing the refrain in 4 hours I felt like sticking a screwdriver in my ear. Maybe it's because it's the only thing the international group of people knew the words to.
