I mostly like the classics. Bing Crosby, Brenda Lee, Eartha Kitt, Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, Jose Feliciano, Elvis, Judy Garland, and so on and so forth.
I’m good with most of the classic Christmas songs with the singular exception of McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime”.
For some reason that song triggers a medievel response in my brain, and I hope Paul is forced to answer for it in the afterlife.
I feel similarly about "Little Saint Nick" by the Beach Boys. As a lyric, "Christmas comes this time each year" is one of the worst.
Chrissie Hynde is a national treasure.
I’d have liked for the Cash Money Records New Orleans crew to come out with some Christmas songs about gangbanging redbones at the trap house on Christmas Eve.
