Garza and Wieskamp are like the Wisconsin version of Dekker and Kaminsky when they made it to the Final 4. Iowa will have two sharp shooters and point guard play will improve as well!

OP, you have viewed the facts and reported them accurately. Should everyone return and stay healthy, with the talent and mental toughness that team would have, a Final Four is absolutely a rational possibility. Add to that the basketball gods owe the Hawkeyes big time and, well, next season is an exciting thing to consider. And this one ain't so bad so far either. 
Next years team could easily be the most talented team Fran has had at Iowa. I love the Wisconsin comparison. For whatever reason I don’t see Wiesy or Garza leaving. Wiesy isn’t consistent enough with his killer instinct and Garza I believe loves being a Hawkeye. I am not sure about a Final Four because it is so hard to get there - but I love the optimism.

Color don't mean sh!t, I don't care what color a player is as long as they can play defense and can score. Next year could be really fun, but Fran is going to have to redshirt some players and find the best 8 or 9 players among the 14 returning players not walk-ons....It's going to be a real balancing act keeping everyone happy and Fran has all summer and fall to figure things out.
Luka, Wieskamp, Fredrick, Jordan, Toussaint, Nunge, Connor, Patrick, and any of the new comers that step up their games.
Fran has a 10 year history of screwing things up, we'll see if he can overcome his faults in year 11....
Easily would be the most complete team since 05-06 and I'd say better with more weapons than that team who damn near broke me losing to NW St.....IF everyone is back and healthy....
i too am already excited about next year. can you imagine how good we would be with bohannon, wieskamp and fredrick spreading the floor with garza in the middle- pick your poison. not to mention a more experienced toussaint at point
I’m excited about next year too and that’s why I’m not concerned about rushing CJ back jeopardizing his availability / off season development for next year.
This assumes everyone is back — I keep hearing talk about multiple guys leaving. However stupid those rumors are they persist. It would be a shame if true.

Tempering expectations. Next year, barring injuries or defections, I expect us to be top 4 in the Big Ten and a sweet sixteen team.
Here’s what needs to happen. Nunge needs to come back healthy and be a backup to Garza and fill Kreiner’s minutes, if not Ogundele fills in 5-8 minutes behind Luka. Pemsl shouldn’t play much. One of the freshman guards is good enough to get Bakari’s minutes, the other should redshirt. One of the Murray kids is good enough to fill Pemsl’s minutes.
Typical lineup on the floor should be one center, 3 guards, and a slashing forward with decent shooting skills.
C = Garza/Nunge or Ogundele
F = Joe W/Patrick or Murray kid
G = Joe T,JBo,CJ/Connor,Ulis or Perkins
Of the 5 freshmen, 2 or 3 should redshirt. JBo needs to have Joe T or CJ on the court at all times with him to help with defense. At any point in time you should have at least one driving threat and 2 or more 3pt shooters with that rotation.

Problem is when Fran has 10-12 guys he thinks should play, he will play them all.
I firmly believe the reason we’ve done well this season is because Fran’s been limited to only 8 guys or so.

Like Aristotle, I believe the basketball Gods owe us one. It’s been way too long. So, I keep my fingers crossed. But I don’t know if it’s just me or others feel the same way. I think Fran coaches better when he has a shorter bench. Those deep, end-of-the-bench substitutions are puzzling. I also agree with many posters, Luka and Joe W must come back for this to be a possibility.
I’m still not sure where Nunge fits in. Fran clearly thinks he can play so what do I know. I like the smaller more athletic lineup. More shooters, more ball handlers equals harder to guard. I’d like to see Nunge in the Kreiner role next year. Just my opinion.
