If you are going to lose at least it made for some fun March basketball. Turnovers, D and missed FTs killed us. We would win 9/10 times with that offensive output. JoBo future of Iowa basketball, dude is a stud. Wish he would've shot that running 3 at the end.

Thanks Pete! Enjoy the NBA.

There is a lot to be excited about with Iowa basketball. I support coach Fran, the players and program 100%. They are fun to watch. TOs in first half and FT percentage- totally correctable freshman stuff.

It was fun in a very stressful and frustrating manner. It was great to climb back into it at the end, but watching them creep up to within 4 only to drop back by 10 again over and over in the 2nd half was frustrating. Some of those turnovers made me want to pull my hair out.

Is anyone even that upset right now? Feels like spring and the whole game I was thinking I wouldn't be terribly mad if they lost. Excited for the future and ready to get back to gridiron talk.
We got knocked out of the nit
I don't think I'll lose any sleep over it :D

It was a great game. I don't know how TCU is not in the NCAA's.
6-12 in the Big 12- especially since I have read many posts about how the Big 12 is a fraud and you wonder why a team that is 6-12 in a "fraud league" is not in the tournament? Iowa had no business losing at home to TCU.

TCU was much more experienced, quicker, ran superior schemes, out-shot us, out rebounded us and out-defensed us. I could keep going. Thanks for a fun year, Hawkeyes. I can't wait for next year.

I'm not. This is the nit after all. Plenty to look forward to.

I'd rather play Wisconsin basketball and win. But sure, it was entertaining.

Your stats are a little off as we hit 54% to 51% for TCU from the field. We out rebounded them 39-32 also. They made 36 FG on 71 attempts to our 34 of 63. We hit 16 3s to 10 for TCU. The difference of 8 attempts largely due to committing 17 turnovers to 9 for TCU. TCU had a whopping 13 streals.

I was at the game. Great game and crowd. Both teams played hard but I have to give it up to TCU & the Big 12. I'm hard on that league but they impressed me with their execution and poise. We made 16 3s and lost . There were some junctures where we punched TCU hard and they could have gave in but they did not. They played better fair and square.

For us first half turnovers, second half free throw shooting and overall defense were the issues. We gave up 52 in the paint. Their PG #25 Robinson did an excellent job scoring and creating. Some of the best work I've seen all year and they hit just enough 3s. He was the difference maker for them. The interesting thing is JoBo was not awful either with 25 & 13.

Take aways are
1. Take care of the ball
2. Improve FT shooting of the bigs especially
3. Clean-up D (get a shot blocker too)

Good season. Lots of fun.., lots to look forward to and some things to clean up/improve at.

Is there a clean up for lack of foot speed on the perimeter?

No but I think we can continue to find creative ways to cover it but also knowing sometimes the other team is executing and / or hitting. JoBo is too good on the other end to take off the floor.

1. We need a couple of rim protectors
2. Moss needs to play on someone's PG if they are tearing us up. He's our best on-the-ball defender. CW is next but kills the offense.
3. Mix up our zones every couple of times down the floor
