Big showdown between the two schools last night. West was playing without Tanner Lohaus, their starting PG and UNI commit and Connor McCaffery, who sat out the game with a concussion he received in a collision with Pemsyl in the their last victory against Whalert. Of course the game also featured a couple of other players of interest to Iowa fans. Jordan Bohannon, the do everything guard for Linn-Marr scored 22 (9-17, 4-11 from 3-pt, 6RBs) in a 77-71 loss. Interestingly enough, Patrick McCaffery started in his brother's place and went 5-8, 1-3 from three, for 14 points and led the Trojans in rebounds with 7.

So no foul was called on a play where Connor suffered a concussion? I bet Fran was hot. Any video of this?

Can't help it. I've been correcting you since 1979. Of course, back then I had to do it in person.

There was a thread earlier in the week about that game. Someone that was there said Fran was livid about the play. Hopefully he doesn't pull pemsl's scholly.;)

I remember that post but haven't see video. Any father would be ready to behead a ref in that situation. I would like to see video before passing judgement.

You weren't actually correcting me. I just pretended to let you think you were right.

Connor and Cordell are friends. They were talking to each other multiple times during the game during non-action, When Connor flipped and hit the back of his head on the floor after a non-call contact, Cordell came right over to see how he was and encourage him. Don't know exactly how Connor flipped backwards with 7.9 seconds left in the game as Connor drove to the basket. There apparently was some contact that was not called. I didn't think it was Pemsl who made contact. I thought it might be one of the other players. Connor yelled very loudly, "Call the foul, ref!" as he was lying on the floor under the basket. It was pretty quiet and then Connor got up and walked slowly to the bench and both crowds applauded the great game he played. IC West was given the ball under the basket and missed a shot and Pemsl got the rebound and just dribbled out the last few seconds. It was a cleanly-played game, but the refs let them play. Hopefully, Connor will return very soon.
