ICE raids on food trucks

Should be pretty easy to identify a couple of these meal team 6 looking guys quickly and see who they are and who they work for.

Would hope and expect that there's more to this. If not and we actually have hired goons out of uniform rounding up people for ICE, people are going to start getting shot.

Bad idea targeting a food truck. Americans love their food-trucks and everybody knows the spanish people that can't speak english make the best tacos.

Since it’s a CiViL vIoLaTiOn and not a criminal matter, I’m guessing different rules apply. After all, they’re not being sent to jail, they’re being sent home.

Sure, but by whom?

Are these actual agents? No identification required? How do they know these guys are illegal?

Like I said - probably more going on here, but as usual in our social media world, it sure looks shady at first blush.

How does that work when they get inspected and licensed to be a food truck?

“ I shouldn’t be in the country so here is my fake ID, fake registration, and stolen SSN for tax collection purposes “.

Some food trucks are ridiculously expensive. Should I get a discount because you have less overhead or should u pay more for the convenience ?

They weren't ICE agents, per local news source.
They were detained as part of an ongoing 2 year investigation that the owner is human trafficking- supposedly.

Owner is apparently a real POS grifter, I don't know but the tacos are really good. The consume is different, eats like a beef stew instead of a dipping sauce.

Haven't been able to confirm if the truck hit was the one right by me, or over on summer.

*Statement put out by owner, is apparently to get ahead of this being centered around him.

Thats all the local gossip I have on this.

The raid was done earlier this week at a TACOnganas food truck. Video shows four men, agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), in plain clothing who do not appear to have a warrant or identify themselves
“The video released yesterday shows ICE HSI Memphis arresting three Mexican nationals unlawfully present in the U.S. as part of a work site enforcement operation. This operation was based on information received related to potential labor trafficking. Two of the three men arrested had prior criminal convictions for immigration related violations.”

Senior DHS official

At last check, TACOnganas owner Greg Diaz is still under federal investigation after allegations he was recruiting Mexican workers to come to the U.S. to work for long hours and low wages.
