Which one would it be? Obvious answer for resume would probably be roady at Maryland but I know the DePaul and Nebby losses were a lot for some.. maybe even the blown 17 point lead against SDSU?

Maryland is the smart pick. Away game against a team that is ahead of us in the conference standings and rankings. This would give us a potentially better seed in the B1G tourney as well.
I get the sting of the nebby loss though, we shot so bad that night. It would be nice to swap that one as well, but that loss does not have as big of an impact as Maryland game in the bigger picture.

I forgot we were up 17 on SDSt.

Mine would be Nebber just because that’s the most realistic game that we should’ve won.

Crazy to think that we’d be in 1st place with only a handful of games to go if we could’ve just beaten Hoiberg.

Nebraska under the condition that Iowa wins via some really good luck. My understanding is the Nebraska loss became a wake-up call for the team, and I suppose in the world of altering the course of history I don’t want to lose that rallying event.

Simpler terms—my instinct is to take the worst L and flip it.

Really has to be Maryland though in terms of conference standing and trying to win the Big Ten.

I understand that argument, too. But I'm factoring in layers of what ifs in this thing, and when I envision Iowa beating Maryland at Maryland, I'm thinking maybe the guys relax a bit and Illinois beats them in Carver.

For NCAA seeding purposes and B1G conference rankings, probably Nebraska. That's a Quad 4 and B1G conference loss right now. A road win against Maryland would be big, though.

The known turd is the nebby loss; would be nice to scratch that one off the list.
It's yet to be determined how big the other two might be.
IF sdsu runs the table prior to the NCAA tourney then I'd want that one back and be the only team that beats them.
IF terps go on a tear and win the B1G then I'd want Iowa to be the one team that swept them in league play.

DePaul was early and served as a wake up call to the team. Nebraska stunk, but those games are going to happen and good it was early vs. late with Iowa sitting on the bubble like last year.

Its funny, I want to say SDSU, but its largely because they are a top 3 team and undefeated. So feel we could get some bonus points for a win against one of best teams in country on neutral court. However, had we won that game, I really wonder how high they would be ranked? Maybe Top 12 or so? So if you go by the numbers, I believe the Maryland road game would likely garner most credit for us? And then as has been said, erasing the ugly Nebby loss certainly cleans up our resume as well.

I guess I would go with Maryland.

1. In conference and when was last time we were in running for title?
2. Road game
3. Could serve as tiebreaker as we would have beaten them twice
4. They are a hoops blue blood (light blue at least)
