If you want growth, win this game

And shame on me for overvaluing one game, but getting that first conference win after being behind and on the bad end of momentum late in the second half was worthy of some celebration.

Now, remember what you've got to do to get more of those than you lose.

So if Iowa lost in OT all hope would be lost? I've never viewed the season that way. Iowa isn't anywhere near good enough to be near the top of the league (right now). Season is all about getting experience. Team grew up a bit today. Will have to do a lot more growing to beat the good teams in the league. I'll give it up to Bohannon, he has stones. He isn't afraid to take the big shot when the game is close, which is half the battle.

Don't remember saying all hope would be lost, so shame on me again.

Just thought it would be big, either way.

A loss would have been deflating, and a win, exhilarating. This young team needs the positive reinforcement of winning more than a veteran group would.

Yes and no. A win certainly helped confidence. But a loss to UNO was motivating. I've seen a veteran group takes losses in their stride but also be shaken because they lose after working hard 4 years. The attitudes of individual players matter and these freshmen have good attitudes.
