In a drunken stupor, Krushchev gave it away...without a vote in 1954. No one complained then because Ukraine was under the SU umbrella. After Obama and Cookie Puss, Victoria Nuland, staged their coup on Maidan by backing the neo-Nazis, they started a genocide in Donbass that voted over 90% for the Moscow friendly government of Yanukovych. That government was illegal. Today, Zelensky has shut down 3 of the top media companies that lean Russian. They put the leading opposition, Viktor Medvechuk, under house arrest...because...you know...freedom and democracy.

They (the illegal government) made the Russian language illegal and burned people alive in the Trade Union bldg. in Odessa. Crimeans feared for their life knowing how the neo-Nazis are filled with hate. In a referendum that was observed by international organizations, 97% voted to secede from Ukraine. Gallup poll #'s pre and post putsch support the Russians here as over 77% consider themselves Russian. If we could break away from England, why can't they?

But, they are not trying to take over their resources in Ukraine. Russia has over $30 Trillion more than their closest competitor. They do not wish to throw themselves into that dumpster fire to the west. They would have to take on another 25M pensioners. NATO wants their only warm water port for obvious geopolitical reasons. It ain't gonna happen. As Obama said, they (Russia) have escalatory dominance.

The earlier published documents and materials that have emerged more recently confirm that the transfer of Crimea from the Russian SFSR to the Ukrainian SSR was carried out in accordance with the 1936 Soviet constitution, which in Article 18 stipulated that "the territory of a Union Republic may not be altered without its consent." The proceedings of the USSR Supreme Soviet Presidium meeting indicate that both the Russian SFSR and the Ukrainian SSR had given their consent via their republic parliaments.

Show me where the data comes from. Russia can't grow much because much of Russia land is not fertile enough. Hence why Russia annexed Crimea.
No, the Russians Empire annexed Crimea in the late 1700s because they were tired of centuries of muslim slave raids launched from there.

So when the Allies created Czechoslovakia out of the remains of the German and Austrian Empires they added ~3 million Germans to a country of ~9 million people. This was done literally just for the geographic features (defensive) of the mountains themselves that make up the 'Sudetenland' and no thought whatsoever for the desires of the people themselves to be in one nation or another post WW1.

And then a Washington backed putsch took place in Feb/2014 and the neo-Nazis of the new ILLEGAL government in Kiev started its act of genocide in Donbass. The Russian Crimeans feared for their lives and that thing called freedom took place...a referendum. Strange how you back neo-Nazis and genociders.

This occurred even after Russia warned NATO in Feb/2008 that this was their redline. In April/2008 at the NATO summit in Bucharest, Washington flipped the bird at Moscow and said Georgia and Ukraine were on their way to becoming members of NATO.

In Aug/2008, another act of aggression on the part of the West and our puppet, Mikheil Saakashvili, attempting to pick a fight with Russia. He was bitch-slapped and the EU Council found Georgia guilty.

There was also an agreement between James Baker and Gorby in '90 that if Moscow allowed German re-unification, it was promised that NATO would NOT move 1 inch to the East (meaning East Germany). Yes...it was verbal. But, would that matter if it was in stone? We are agreement incapable. See JCPOA, INF and ABM treaties or the many we broke with Native-Americans. Then, Clinton came into office and bombed Yugoslavia for 78 straight days and annexed Kosovo. Soon, 13 former Warsaw Pact members were now under NATO with nukes on the Estonia border. But, remember, Moscow is the aggressor.

We are illegally occupying 30% of Syria...or let's just call it an annexation. Bitch about things you can change.
