I work on Spangdahlem AB in Germany and I got tickets to the 0700 Friday showing...0100 East Coast time.

Does that make me the first HR poster to see it? If so, I'm geeked and will post some spoilers :)

Looking forward to it...pretty confident JJ will have done a good job.

Still recovering from the Episode I debacle.....

Steer clear of social media. The premiere was last night in LA. Europe is getting it today also.
I was just discussing this with my co-workers...didn't know the premiere was last night. Hopefully I can make it to Friday without somebody spilling the beans....

Probably be a good idea to quit reading this thread :)

Early reactions are pretty positive.

I watched an interview with JJ and he talked about shooting a lot of the movie in 35mm film. Evidently they even went so far as to use some of the same lenses that they used in 'A New Hope.' There's gonna be lot's of people/extras in this one. Even the little droid BB-8 is being manipulated by puppeteers. I guess they also built tons of models and insanely big sets. I'm sure he'll use some CGI here and there, but it sounds like he's going back to the feel of the first three movies instead of the green screen mania that was the last three.

Crap...thought I was getting the drop on you guys.....

Dude, you're still seeing it pretty early. Early enough to avoid all the assholes who are going to try to ruin it for you. A word to the wise though. I would be careful around the internet. There's already been advanced showings and people are already leaking info. I might just sequester myself until Friday.

Thank the Lord.

Advice heeded...

The real question is what time is your showing and what time are you showing up to stand in line? lol!

We're getting there at 9pm to see an 11pm movie, and I still don't know if we'll get good seats.
What's cool is I don't have to stand in line (bought the ticket)....it's a viewing for members of the unit I work for over here so the base theater will only be about half full. I'll get there about 10 minutes early...0650.

That's awesome. We have a theater in Bradenton, FL that basically has poor man's lazy boys as chairs, with decent space in between each one, and when you buy the ticket, you actually buy what chair you want, but they were instantly sold out. So we roll the dice at the normal theater...haha!

Watched it. Thought it was great.

Like has been said multiple times...harkens back to the originals, developed the characters.

The only Star Wars movie I've seen is episode 1 as a ten year old kid. I should probably watch the other ones.

Bob Mondello gave a spirited review on NPR. He said it revives the spirit of the first three movies. If so I am very excited to see it.

Watched it a few hours ago. Thought it was great...liked the new characters. Obviously a big upgrade over episodes 1-3.
