And we get to play them every year for the next, what, 6 years? Lord....I think it sucks. Why did we select Rutgers as a member of a collection of largely like-minded institutions when they have failed in so many ways?

As soon as the TV sports money bubble bursts, these guys in New Jersey are gone. They're a good school, but their athletic programs are floundering. The only way they could get worse is if they hired Gary Barta.I think it sucks. Nebraska isn't where the conference wants them to be academically, but they're doing all right athletically (football notwithstanding). Maryland is like another Michigan academically, and has improved their athletics with the relationship with Under Armour enough that they're not going anywhere.
Rutgers is in trouble without some major changes though, no doubt.
Maryland is like Michigan academically???
Absolutely. Michigan and Maryland are two of the best public universities in the country.Maryland is like Michigan academically???
Definitely not one of the commissioners better moves adding Rutgers to the big 10
