Illinois Goes The Final 12:26 With One Foul

It may have even been longer. I just happened to notice Iowa was in the bonus at that point and Illinois had six fouls.

I just caught the last couple minutes of the game. Officiating is why I don't watch much B1G Ten basketball anymore. Oh, and I saw the highlights of that egregious travel before the half. Lol. JFC. I take it Illinois doesn't get this type of officiating in all their games or they'd likely be undefeated.

Refs call fouls close to start the half, after they stack up on opponent, they don't call them. It was normal game except Garza got into foul trouble when he normally doesn't. Can't blame refs. Need better defense.

There were many opportunities to call one, especially when Connor got hacked after Garza's 4th "foul" of daring to stand his ground behind a massive center. Connor also got destroyed going after a loose ball in the backcourt. If we play these guys again I really hope that all of our fouls on them are hard.

Officiating at all levels should do nothing but deteriorate each year going forward.
Until parents, coaches, & players start to behave themselves & treat officials with respect it will forever be a downward spiral.

Not in today’s society of “look at me”. When newer and more ways are developed seemingly weekly for people to play the “look at me” game it’ll only get worse.

And Iowa went 11 minutes and 30 seconds without committing a foul in the 1st half.

Yeah, but Iowa doesn't play defense. :)
