The Illini have been winning a number of close games lately. They have won four of their last six by 1-4 points. Are they finding ways to win, just lucky or a little bit of both? Curious to see how things play out tomorrow.

I haven't watched any of those games....I saw the highlight of the winning shot in one of the recent games.

So I think the answer to your question is that it is almost always a little bit of both luck and being good in those situations. Things have to happen so that your team or players have a chance to make plays....and then one of them at least has to make a play.

I have actually had an opportunity to watch quite a bit of Illinois basketball. Definitely a little luck, but their last three were wins were by 8, 2, and 17. They are a solid team and solid teams make the plays to win, that they have done. IMO they are the most complete team in the B1G which makes me want to puke. I hate the Illini.

I'm thinking the one I watched the other team missed 4 free throws in the last minute of the game. Now that's great defense

Illini are more than solid if Cockburn can stay out of foul trouble and they have been scoring like they did vs Iowa. The Illini look legit...right up there with MSU.
