In other union news: impending rail workers strike would cost the economy $2 billion per day....

How long do you wanna allow businesses to phuque with the workin' man before addressing their problems, Trad?

The unions know that they're running out of time. Congress can force them to stay on the job. A prospect that is much more likely in January....

You want Congress to settle business disputes? Or in this case, it is convenient for your to support this? Congress has enough problems......these bastards cant even throw a crook out of office!

Yep.....$$ is NOT the issue......the issue is "lifestyle"......time off, being called in short notice....staffing.....If you make 6 figure income, maybe you'd like the time to spend it?

The trains have to run on time. That's a non-starter.

Are you aware that potential transportation employees are made well aware of the time demands of the job? Multiples times? Class 1 railroads will not hire a transportation employee who they don't believe has potential to remain in transportation. It takes a long time and a lot of money to train and certify conductors and engineers.

This impending railroad strike,.. Or at least he took credit for resolving it awhile ago.

Because the Feds (Joe) did what it could do....got them to the table and the parties involved at least reached a tentative agreement, getting them back to work......Now a couple of individual unions rejected the agreement....but that is "business" that needs to be worked out. But Joe did do everything he could do to get an agreement.
You wanna blame "Joe" for everything....and that is just not the case......there are things the government (Joe) can do and they did them.....now "private entities" have to do the rest. Its the American system.

Not blaming Biden for not fixing it,.. Blaming Biden for taking credit for fixing it when he didn't fix it.

Ah.......but he did what he was legally able to do, Rifler.....he was able (he=the government) got the sides to sit down and reach a preliminary agreement. He CAN claim credit for that. "fixing it"......that's up to the folks involved.....but Biden did "clear the deck" for a negotiated settlement. Why do you find you must interpret this settlement literally.......reasonable folks understand what was meant.

So you're saying the left leaning media is unreasonable,.. I would agree.

There won't be any strike.

They'll make concessions, both sides, and agree to work during ongoing negotiations.

This story isn't some new phenomenon.

????
What is your point? Are yo saying the media made this up...or that Biden did? You really have me confused.

Look at the media headlines from a few month back on this topic,.. Biden was declared the savior, problem solved.

Fixed what? Corporate greed? Abuse of the working man? Those are on-going battles, Rifler. As old as man itself. Joe favors a platform to allow these grievances to be addressed...and corrected.
You know what he meant. Joe stood out there and patted himself on the back. Then Trad was shit in in this thread. Now we’re right back where we were.

I’m not blaming Joe, but he was so proud of himself. ;)

STFU, Riley. You don't know a damn thing about unions. You don't know about being in a union, the processes of unions, contract negotiations, ratifications, arbitration, voting, etc. All you know is what you've read in history books about "robber barons" and The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. Go ahead and post your laugh emoji.
You're an idiot.

What sucks is if the Brotherhood of Jackwagon Operators votes to strike, all the other rail unions will have to honor it.

This shit should be illegal.
