Down just 2 and than down four, I was hoping Kris was going to get a look, even a 3 but the ball didn't come his way.
It's a pressure time and shots have to be taken when available which is what happened. Just wish one of those could have come from Kris.

The team will hopefully learn from it. Hawks played really hard. As you pointed out, Iowa had two straight possessions where there were 0 passes and a guarded shot from Toussaint and then Patrick McC. Not terrible shots, but it's obvious from Fran's demeanor on the bench he wanted the ball to move a bit to get a good shot.

Kris Murray grew up in that second half tonight. Playing that well against an opponent that good was something.

Toussaint screwed up big time at the end of the game. Kris was wide open for a 3 but Toussaint was so focused on driving in to shoot that he completely ignored him. PMac also screwed up the exact same way, one on one with no ball movement driving in for a shot.

I was at my boys’ high school game last night and had Hawk game on phone but couldn’t pay that much attention. Noticed Bohannon wasn’t playing down the stretch. Hurt? Matchup problems? Going with the 5 that we’re getting the most done? Thanks!

Iowa was playing pressure defense. jBo not best fit for that. Had Joe T, Perkins, ulis and Kris m with Patrick most of that time.

Hawks by 20 in CHA in rematch
With the same officiating advantage PU had last night plus Iowa's leading scorer and rebounder, I'd say Hawks by 30. But since Iowa will not have that officiating advantage--not even close--20 sounds about right.

Not sure why Fran will never call a TO on offense.

I know he doesn't like to let the opponent defense get organized but its fairly common practice by every one else to call TOs in those end of game situations to draw up a play for the offense.

Especially with a team that was down its best player.

We had a great set play for Kris to hit the 3 from the top of the key to cut the lead to two - agree that Fran should have used both timeouts to try and set something up - great effort Hawks!

Exactly, Joe wants to try to do to much in clutch situations.
He needs to settle down a bit and move the ball to the best shooters.
I like Joe but still gets ahead of himself to much
