125- A+ missed 1st period thinking it started at 7. Undercover gets an F. Way to catch him and stick him.
133- B+ he needs to work on bottom to be more competitive next year. But I liked that he took a shot at the end and didn't back away. That upped his grade from B to B+.
141- C- Carton was gifted a td in the 2nd and then got reversed. Carton did not look good. Let's hope he looks better on Sunday.
149- A+ Sorensen looked great! Glad to see him using some tilts.
157- A+ Kem kept good pace and chain wrestled to get that pinning position.
165- D wtf was the ref doing when Gunther was on bottom? Indiana was on his ankle for 15 seconds before a stall call. Gunther looked awful. He gets that left hand underhook so easy but never uses it. He uses it for defense more.
174- B typical Meyer match. I think Meyer's favorite shot is that crotch lift when they have his legs. Seems to be most of his takedowns.
184- C- that ref had some hometown calls in this match (a td when they were OB, a td when Bowman still had Jackson's leg, and nf on a roll through that was barely a 1 count). I think Bowman is gonna have something to say about the 184 spot next year. He needs to bulk up a little bit and needs more matches but he pushes a hell of a lot better pace than Wilcke and he actually takes shots. I like him better even though Wilcke might have more talent.
197- C- Wilcke is my least favorite Iowa wrestler and he showed why tonight. Dream scenario would be Holloway at 197 and Warner down to 184.
285- B- Holloway moves pretty good just didn't come out on top in last scramble. Holloway has some serious leg strength.
Overall team- B- lots of Hawks looked lethargic.
