Iowa's offense was incredibly balanced, again. 234 yards rushing on 44 rushes vs. 233 yards passing on 31 pass attempts.

Wadley: 12 carries for 120 yards. Daniels: 23 carries for 78 yards. CJB: 5 carries for 38 yards. Mitchell: 2 carries for 2 yards. I would really like to see Wadley's carries go up. He can make cuts quicker than anyone else in recent memory and is a true home run threat.

Great to see Hillyer step up. 4 catches for 53 yards. CJ needs a legit 3rd target to open up Smith/Meerkat. The TE's also seem to come up big on 3rd down and medium to move the chains.

King is a stud. We already knew that. He should pretty much have the Thorpe Award wrapped up by now.

Jordan Howard rushing 22 times for 174 yards is concerning for the defense, especially with Minn coming up and tOSU looming in the B1G Champ game. ESPN decided to schedule the game during my daughters 1st birthday party and I didn't realize he had that big of a game. Feel free to fill me in on how he was able to rack up that many yards.

The flip side is Sudfeld was 16/37 for 180 yards with a 37.9 QBR. All we heard for a week was how good Indiana's passing game was and Iowa shut it down.

I was just happy to get out of Bloomington with a W. Between a handfull for horrible spots by the refs and Indiana playing other top teams well, Iowa did enough to win and I never really felt like the game was in doubt.

The first half Howard really gashed the defense but man the pass defense was great all game. That is one of the top passing offenses in the country and Iowa really slowed them down. Also the second half rush defense was far better. Howard had 11 carries in the second half for 37 yards. They had a total of 16 rushes for 63 yards in the second half.

Defensive line struggled in the first half. To their credit, I thought Indiana's offensive line was the best I've seen this year against the hawks. I can't get my head around why they're 0-5 in the conference. They are damn good on offense. Anyways, d line was getting turned and creating creases for Howard and he's a talented back. 2nd half we cleaned it up a bunch and the defensive line was much better at staying flat and taking seams away. I'm not too concerned by the numbers. I think we'll look very different against the run Saturday and the rest of the year.

Indiana was undefeated in preseason (including a W over Wake Forest), and hasn't won in the B10 yet.
They have been VERY close (held within a point or two) vs. the traditional powers thru 3 quarters. I think they will bust one open before the end of this season against someone.

The 0-5 record in the Big Ten is pretty misleading, considering how well they have played against Top 25 competition. They are simply one or two players, or one or two plays away from being a team that could be at least .500 in the conference.

I'd bet they can beat both Purdue and Maryland, closing out the season. They could even give Michigan some problems, which would simply be delicious!
