Not sure if Iowa forgot to sacrifice a chicken this year or not but man the injuries are piling up. Bohannon, Nunge, Patrick and now CJ. That's 4 of the top 9 rotation players entering the season. If CJ is out it is going to be an uphill battle to finish a great start to the season. Iowa will have to win in the B1G with almost no bench. Toussaint will need to grow fast and learn to finish at the rim. Connor will need to overcome his offensive woes in B1G play. Kreiner will need to maintain his solid non conference play in B1G play, Weiskamp will need to play up to his potential at a consistent clip and Garza will need to continue playing like he is challenging for B1G player of the year.
Fran will need to come up with a strategy to keep defenses from sinking back into the paint. He needs to ensure Garza is able to move freely around the court and make in game adjustments when defenses have locked down the paint.
I can't remember an Iowa team that has had this many injuries to its core unit this early in the season?
