Why do the temps inside and outside not feel the same? Outside temps in 50s is bearable, but inside if they are in the fifties, it feels like the North pole. Same as when it's in the seventies outside, but seventies inside is hell.

Our minds trick us. If it's 45 degrees in July we all dress like Nanook of the North. But 45 degrees in February it's t-shirts and shorts. It's very interesting. This would be a good question for the moderators to ask the Republican candidates at the next debate.

Indoor humidity is generally much lower in winter. You lose body heat faster in dryer air so it feels cooler. The same is true in summer usually as long as you're running the AC so 72 degrees inside can feel much cooler than 72 degrees outside on a humid day. The summer difference may be due to...[shrugging shoulders]...stagnant air when the AC is off? Humidity will build up quickly in an enclosed, non-AC space.
