And closing on the top 5 NBA teams (Warriors, Lakers, Celtics, Bulls and Heat), adding 100k followers every hour (adding over 1k since this tweet an hour ago). Messi’s star power is on a level we haven’t seen before in this country since Pele or Jordan:

That is wild.

Isn't Messi kind of on the downside of his career, though?
Emphasis on “kind of”. He was runaway winner of World Cup MVP a few months back, and just named French Ligue 1 Player of the Year (side note: the runner up used to play for Chicago Fire).

He’s still at an elite level.

Update: 6 million and counting. About to pass the Heat as most followed team in Florida and 5th most in US.

The same day that ESPN+ reported Internacional Miami made back all $150 million spent on him in year one, and is already over $200 million in revenue this season. Not to mention the league windfall. Winning on and off the field.

EDIT: Oh, and @torbee, he won another FIFA Ballon D’Or Award as the best player on the planet for 2023 since the time you asked your question earlier in this thread.

All bots.
Soccer isn’t even real.

This^^^^ - Miami's actual attendance was less than CC Indianapolis Fever team...:p:p:p
Hahahaha!!!! DERP! Internacional outdrew the Fever at home by 3k a game and only didn’t sell out ONE home game (tropical storm). And road attendance was a massive disparity. Math just isn’t your strong suit. 😉
