Interesting Fran Interview

Here's a nice interview I found from Jan. Great foreshadowing about the underclassmen. Also touches on IA HS devo system. Talent rich area that doesn't get opportunity to play over Christmas break. Let them play somewhere warm!

No link, but I caught some of it.

A guy called in asking Fran for an update on Tyler Cook. Fran said Tyler is now 6'9", 250 and a beast. Fran said he is going to 'turn Tyler loose' from day 1 when he gets to Iowa. He said Tyler's favorite thing is to get a defensive rebound and aggressively pass or drive it back down the floor. Fran was gushing like I've never heard him before.

I'm really curious which of the four recruits (plus two redshirts) will be ready to defend at an acceptable level.

From the sounds of it, Hutton has that piece of his game as a strength. I would love to see Moss or Cook (or any of them, frankly, not trying to leave anyone out) come out with B1G level defense from day 1.

Love those comments about Cook. Didn't hear them in the linked interview. Do they have a link to those?
 
There will be growing pains next year but my hopes are that the uptick in talent recruited will overcome some of that.
