From NPR earlier this week. I-70 was shutdown for two weeks in Western Colorado this Summer due to wild fires. At the end there is a mention of the incredible back log of infrastructure projects. That seems like a good way to goose the economy, and to make needed changes to infrastructure to adapt to a warming planet.
Portions of I-5 (And numerous state and US highways), were also shut down in Oregon and California in the last few weeks.
