Interesting Tweets From Kluver

Credit to Tyler for not mentioning all the public relations events they are compelled to attend. The credit for which mainly goes to someone else.

Hey Tyler, did anyone die on the field last night? I get disgusted when people equate a game to real life wars where people really die.

Are there posts I'm missing because he didn't do that either..

Edit: Nevermind, I see what you are referring to. I still completely disagree with your point, but at least it isn't out of left field.

You didn’t play did you. Not equating to death, however; when you put EVERYTHING into something-football, work, relationship, etc and it doesn’t work out.....that shit really hurts....like really really hurts

Have you ever been shot at or watched a buddy die on the battlefield? Do you think you would still equate it to a meaningless game?

And yes I did play multiple sports. I and understand the hurt that accompanies a loss.

You’re investing a lot of time and effort on this message board for such a “meaningless game”

Look at all these ‘effin soldiers’ in here. Agree with Okeefe, its a game you buncha Winslows.

In the grand scheme of life, sports is a distraction, entertainment. That is my definition of a "meaningless game." I enjoy sports as much as anyone as long as it is held in the proper perspective. Of course, I am referring to my perspective.

Vary fair. I think Kluvers tweet should be considered from his perspective. He meant nothing by it in comparison to actual combat.

Has every Veteran “seen a friend die?” I hear that every single time someone who served gets upset about something. Is it really that common?

You do realize what the NYT and TWP represent don't you?
I didn't explore your links, but I have played for coaches who used military metaphors. I find it hard to believe that after your many years of athletic competition you haven't ever had such a coach. But, if you haven't and would quit any team that did, well . . .
