You don’t have to be born on US soil to be a natural born US citizen. His mother was born and raised in the United States and was a US citizen at the time of his birth. Therefore he is automatically a natural born US citizen by virtue of jus sanguinis, regardless of where he was born.
So even if you think he was born in Kenya, he is still a natural born US citizen and was therefore constitutionally eligible to be President.

Not that it matters, BUT Jus sanguinis alone wouldn’t necessarily qualify him. While US citizenship can be passed down by jus sanguinis from a US citizen parent, the laws governing this at the time of his birth had specific requirements. In 1961, a US citizen parent (his mom) would have needed to have lived in the US for at least 10 years, including 5 years after the age of 14, to automatically pass citizenship to a child born abroad. Since she was only 18 at the time of his birth, she would not have met the residency requirement if he had been born outside the US.
