Iowa’s too clutch on offense now, depriving Kirk Ferentz of his beloved punts

The scoring offense is 57th right now which isn't comparable to what Phil Parker is doing. But Brian obviously was as frustrated as the rest of us with punting at the opponents 32 yard line. GOOD!!
Whether it be kneeling with time on the clock or punting at the 32 or never allowing the backup QB to show what he is capable of, Kirk was okay with letting GD/KOK leave points on the field waayy too often. If Brian is determined to end that needless practice he'll win the hearts and minds of those he needs to.

And people will still complain that the scoring offense is 57th because they see 57, which is not an appealing number, and assume we're doing something wrong.

Meanwhile, this Iowa offense is on pace to be one of the top 3 scoring Os in the KF era, if not right behind 2002.

Fwiw, the 2002 O scored 484 pts averaging 37.2 ppg, an average which would be good enough for 25th in the nation right now in 2018.
