How anyone could have voted for Iowa at all is a mystery to me. The Hawkeyes were fortunate that their defense won so many games last year. This year, facing a far more difficult schedule, that sort of good fortune is highly unlikely to strike again. As long as the O-line is a disaster and Petras is the QB, Iowa will be lucky to win five games and finish in the top 80 in the country. But at least KF will show everybody he's still boss.

And Florida should be ranked higher than Utah since, of course, THEY JUST BEAT THEM! Idiots.
Tbf, Utah probably should've at least gotten to OT in a hostile environment if not for a poor decision by the QB on their final play.

In Vegas terms, home field is worth 3 pts and Utah lost by 3. Therefore, you'd have to think based on how it played out that Utah would still be favored both at home and, slightly, at a neutral site.

Not to mention the fact that Florida is probably going to take more Ls than Utah this year just because they play in the significantly tougher SEC.

But that also does bring up an interesting topic about valuing wins over strength of wins (i.e. power rankings).

Is an 8-4 Florida better than a 10-2 Utah because UF beat them by 3 at home? Or is Utah better because they won more games, and potentially won their conference?

(again we're just talking about who should be ranked above the other)
