There are still seven bigger games ahead before the discussion of Indianapolis is truly relevant.
Clearly, Iowa has found the right path, in 2021.
Iowa has held another opponent to 24 or less points. Quite the accomplishment. By the way, the next team getting talk now, on that stat is our next opponent.
Maryland wasn't at full strength.
Bottom line is Iowa destroyed a Mike Locksley team. Not sure that is as big of an accomplishment as future or past games, quite frankly. Felt good.
Penn State did it too, in 2019.
Blanked them, in fact, without the Terps having that massive light, video board. Biggest in Big Ten, by the way.
Iowa is 5-0. Not sure we should be surprised. No one Iowa has beat stands relevant nationally right now. But, don't be thinking 2015. That was in the past.
Next Saturday, is for real. The game is in our dojo.
Iowa's last win at Kinnick over Penn State has been more than a decade. Last year's win was during a pandemic. Look at Indiana and Iowa State, so time to get used to the noise.
Iowa needs continue to man up.
Do It again next Saturday against Penn State.
