Because he had two fouls in the first four minutes of the game. How is this that difficult for you?
Iowa went on to “commit” 14 more first half fouls, per this officiating crew.
I have no problem with how he used them. If any team needed settling down it was PU. They almost gave away the game.
If we would have shot just a little better we would have won, 25% from three.

If Iowa gets the favorable calls or non-calls like Purdue got tonight (in IC), they win by double digits, especially with Keagan.
That was the 2nd triple team I saw tonight and we had fouls on both. That is just dumb basketball when a guy is already trapped by a double team.
Agreed, they are good no doubt but hard to see them as the best. Hawks had the deck stacked against them and still took it to the wire.
Thought fran should have called a TO on some of those empty possessions. Not sure why fran never calls them to set something up
I sincerely wish the B1G would completely scrap their entire roster of refs and find new ones. Their “institutional knowledge”, in my opinion, is what makes them so bad.
They ref the “physical” programs differently than the teams like Iowa.
Every year I am dismayed at how they never get any better.
