IOWA a #2 Seed, Illinois & Michigan a 1 in Latest (March14) ESPN Bracketology. Jerry Palm: Iowa a 2. Mike DeCoursy: Iowa a 2. Bracket Matrix: Iowa a 2

The B10 is just stacked with talent and great teams....a team could finish top 4 in this league (maybe lower) and still be a final 4 level team.

Wisconsin: everyone back from a team that tied for a team title.

Illinois: Loaded with athletic, talented, and experienced players.

MSU: Is MSU.

Who really wants to play Rutgers? Michigan? Indiana is no pushover, nor is Ohio State, etc etc...

PLEASE let there be a college basketball season!

You may want to keep some Spic and Span handy. Izzo, as usual, is getting more than his fair share of recruits, getting a 5* and a 4* both this season and next, and are always tough in Breslin. Do we know if we play them home and away this season? Hell, do we know anything at this point?

hell, i have been advocating for each of the 14 B1G football teams to create bubbles for 3 1/2 months in order to get their 10 games in. Player movement would be from home to facility and then back home, only. They eat and study at the facility or at home, only. Online classes, only. For 3 1/2 months.

I think it would work; it just takes sacrifice and discipline. For 3 1/2 months.

@MrsScrew , would these bubbles work???

How would you build a bubble for college kids? Would they have to take all their classes online in some closed dorm? Seems a shame to have to protect these kids from actually having a college experience, which should be a great period of their lives.

The three service academies are basically bubbles. Players go from dorm to class to practice and back to dorm. None of the academy students live ‘off’ campus.

it would require a lot of discipline, as the Marlins & Cardinals have shown, you can't go to a casino or a bar and think there won't be consequences

Love that Iowa's projected opponent is Siena. That would be an interesting game.

Students are currently petitioning to have online classes on campus. If that happens, it would make it much easier to put students in a bubble. All players live on same floor of dorm, with food delivered for starters, and classes online. Yes, I know this would be hard.

At least we'd be facing Duke in the Sweet 16 instead of the f***ing 2nd Rd......

There's your "Dream Matchup" again @Franisdaman 👀. Potential Duke vs Iowa!

In March, 2021....

34 years ago: 1987 was the last time Iowa was a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

15 years ago: in 2006 Iowa was a 3 seed; Iowa has not had a seed that good ever since.

again, Brooklyn, ugh. it's more of a war zone now than it was pre-pandemic. At least 3 people that I know personally are moving out of there because it's awful.

We are slated to play Baylor on 12/2 in the Jimmy V classic which was supposed to be at MSG and is now in Florida. That would have been a nice semi-home court advantage for us. Comrade Deblasio screwed that one up for us

Not sure why you think Iowa is better than Illinois. Pretty evenly matched.

Iowa is a lot like Lake Woebegone -- all of our players are better than any players on any other team or at least above avereage. Why? Well....Because they're our players and we say so.

Anyone outside of iowa city who thinks any differently: 1) Doesn't know what they are talking about; and/or 2) are biased against Iowa (because everyone in the country thinks about Iowa all the time and has strong opinions about them one way or the other). In other words... it's pretty much like every college message board for every team.

That's why.

Ummm.....because

Iowa > Illinois

Deal with it.
I don’t think so. Guess we will find out. It may be you that has to deal with it. Remember you looked up at Illinois in the standings last year. Illinois is a tough matchup for Iowa. A team that actually plays defense.

It’s just fun to talk some basketball. Illinois/Iowa is a rivalry game again. Good times.

I don’t think so. (Well, you can think whatever you want....but I know.

Iowa > Illinois  )

Guess we will find out. (What's with all the thinking and guessing?.......Make up your mind, already.) It may be you that has to deal with it. (Nah, that's not part of the job description. Besides, Iowa > Illinois even if you were to win both games by 50 pts and Iowa goes 0-31. So again I say..............deal with it.) emember you looked up at Illinois in the standings last year. (Then lose more games next time.) Illinois is a tough matchup for Iowa. (You mean you get up for Iowa more so than other teams that you're trying to chase in-conference, is what you're saying....) A team that actually plays defense. (Oh?....It says here that you tied for 86th place with 8 other teams from smaller conferences in field goal % defense, and 64th nationally, and 7th in the Big Ten in scoring defense. But hey.....at least you were pretty awful in 3 pt field goal defense, finishing 187th in that category. Iowa, meanwhile, finished 117th. But yes....tell me about your vaunted defense compared to other teams Iowa should be worried about, rather than not having a better comeback than telling us, to the surprise of no one, that "oh yeah, well....Iowa's defense sucks!".......)

It’s just fun to talk some basketball. Illinois/Iowa is a rivalry game again. (It never wasn't. You guys just sucked for about 13 years and decided to cancel your fan trolling of other teams until you got good again.........) Good times.
Good times, indeed. :)

Do you think right now these kids are more worried about their college experience, or getting in this season, especially potential NBA players like Luka, and possibly Joe W???
