Oh, what a 2 OT game in South Bend, the #1 Clemson Tigers are undefeated no more. The broadcast of the game was interrupted for some non-football stuff of some kind.
The blackout of College Football on Tuesday didn't seem to phase Iowa, but one can't say that about the traveling Spartans, as QB Rocky Lombardi's homecoming to the great State of Iowa lead to 3 interceptions and a Hawkeye breakout on the lawn of Kinnick.
The families allowed inside enjoyed a beautiful game day of Indian Summer in the Great Midwest, much like the entire past week!
Breakouts on Saturday for Iowa on Saturday: Brian Ferentz's balance attack, particularly with the run game:
Goodson broke off a 71 yard run, that set up one of 5 Iowa offensive TDs. But, the Iowa defense only allowed 7 points and scored one of their own, on Riley Moss' pick 6.
The score gave Iowa a 35-0 lead at the half.
The Hawkeyes score points in special teams, with their first punt return for TD, since 2018 at Illinois, as @TomKakert reminded us from his weekly vantage point in his Live from the Press Box, which has made 2020 a little more bearable, after Bjg Ten football was put on delay.
College Football is now back, with the Hawkeyes having a pulse in the win column in 2020.
