Iowa City, Iowa – University of Iowa Athletics announced Monday a partnership with WMT Digital to design, host and support a Hawkeyesports.com, beginning June 1, 2020.
The goal of the partnership is to enhance the storytelling of Iowa Athletics in a visual, mobile-first experience. The site will use data analytics to adapt to innovations and trends online.
“Our ability to inspire, inform and entertain online has taken a big step forward with WMT Digital,” said Charlie Taylor, associate athletics director of strategic communications and marketing. “By moving to visual-centric storytelling, we will grow the brands of our student-athletes while improving a valuable recruiting tool for coaches to excite prospects to visit Iowa City. We are excited with the addition of the creative thought-leaders and technical expertise of WMT Digital to the Hawkeye family.”
Over the past three years, over 70 percent of Hawkeyesports.com traffic has shifted from desktop to mobile devices. An element in the construction of the new presentation is the simple navigation and fully responsive design, adapting to any screen whether on desktop, mobile or tablet-based devices.
