Congrats to Calvin Mathews as he picks up his first victory as an Iowa Hawkeye going 5 innings and allowing 2 earned runs. Iowa had 10 runs on 12 hits, really only had two big innings as Iowa scored 5 in the 1st and 5 in the 4th. They had runners in scoring position other times, unable to capitalize though. Iowa needs to clean it up a bit as W.Illinois scored four runs in the 7th, only one was earned though.
