SG CJ Frederick is the missing piece for Iowa. He needs to be healthy for Iowa to be a contender for a Big Ten run?

Well, partially, Iowa needs to attack the rim better and is that possible against opponents, such as Illinois?

Transition defense also was a factor and a difference for Iowa against Illinois. Unlike against UNC, Iowa isn't scoring as well. Of course, Frederick was absent.

Jack Nunge played well, but he is still young, due to injuries last season. Frederick is in same category. CJ hasn't had a healthy season at Iowa. Will he reach that point in his career?

Last night at Illinois, Keegan Murray showed promise in his first start. He will not always be consistent, as a young freshman. Love his ceiling. Iowa needs to attack the rim more?

Could we ever see a starting line up such as this for Iowa?

PG Connor McCaffery
SG CJ Frederick
W Joe Weiskamp
PF Keegan Murray
C Luka Garza

Would Iowa benefit from such a line up?

Would Fran McCaffery ever do it?

Iowa needs to have a second rotation with a scorer?

Is that Jordan Bohannon, Frederick or does Iowa expect Murray to return to that role off bench?

I prefer the bigger lineup with Weiskamp not at the 4.

Tough loss last night at Illinois. However, Indiana loss was a bigger disappointment.

Fran McCaffery has shown growth over the past decade.
