Iowa Basketball---What an utter embarrassment!

Program has been a shit show for 30+ years with no change in sight. Over ranked to start the year and won’t survive the first weekend of the tourney. Next year, no tourney and sub-.500 record.
Sadly true last 30 years and probably true regarding next year

Ill bet you $100 (barring no transfers) we are not sub .500.

I haven't looked at the non-conference schedule so won't take that bet, but if limiting it to the conference schedule, then it wouldn't be a terrible risk.

Iowa isn’t the only team losing a lot next year. Illinois goes down Dosunmu, Cockburn, Frazier, and Williams. OSU will lose CJ Walker and Kyle Young. Michigan loses Livers, Brooks, Brown, and Smith (4 of top 6 scorers). Rutgers loses Baker and Young. Wisconsin loses Trice, Potter, Davison, and Reuvers. Indiana loses Durham and likely Jackson-Davis.

Of all teams, Minnesota, Purdue, MSU, Maryland, and Northwestern all return the most and best players, but Iowa should return a lot too

Purdue and MSU both lose their best player. Purdue has allot of young talent though.

Carr may not be back for Minnesota too.

I'd give Iowa as good a chance as any to win the league next year if Connor decides to leave and no one else transfers.

JT, CJ, Weiskamp, Keegan, Nunge with Pat, Perkins, Ulis and Kris as top 4 subs is solid as hell.

Even Fran won't be able to avoid playing defense with that group.

I don’t see that Purdue has any seniors, but you’re right about Langford, and could be about Carr

I think there’s a good chance that Toussaint takes a massive step forward next year reclaiming the starting role as an upperclassman. Kris will probably begin to log occasional minutes next year as well, and if he’s anything like Keegan, will be a contributor.

Damn, you're right. Williams is only a Jr.

Well that makes PU the favorite then.

I don't really think anywhere but this is his 4th year I believe so maybe he'll just call it a career.

I can only hope.

I'm proud of the players who are not anywhere close to an embarrassment. As far as the defensive ignorance and some personnel decisions by the coach....yeah kind of embarrassing. Nepotism and favoritism have no place on a team trying to take the next step, especially in this league
