Cant link from phone but the B1G had many in the top 30 unsurprisingly. Nebraska was at #11 which surprised the hell outta me. How many years in a row has Fran landed us in the top 20? Pretty good considering where we were when he took over.

The new arena and Tim Miles have been drawing great, large crowds, just need to put a consistent winner on the court soon before some of this momentum wears off.

I don't know if this is the link you saw for last years NCAA division I men's basketball but here is one.

Iowa and Iowa State have little chance of going in higher because of lack of capacity of their stadiums.

I also had seen it on the second link where it shows attendance vs percentage of capacity. I wonder how some were allowed to admit over 100% capacity to their games. Nebraska was the highest at 102.9%.

Standing room only, I would guess.

You would think that the bloom would be off the rose a bit over in Lincoln. Got them excited his first season with a top four Big Ten finish and a NCAA appearance. The last two years have been less than mediocre. His personality helps, but I suspect most fans were hoping for more than clever tweets.

Surprised to see Creighton in the top 10.
If you lived in Omaha, you would understand why it's not surprising. Creighton basketball games are a social event here so regardless of how good their team is, the stadium is always full. The student section is actually really weak, but middle aged adults/families/high schoolers absolutely pack the place.

Another possibility is that they are including all people in the arena, not just paid attendance. I don't know if it's still allowed or not, but I know for football some schools have previously included everyone, including security, arena staff, concessionaires, coaching staffs, players, officials, etc. It's quite possible nobody is allowed to count unpaid attendance any more, in which case SRO is the likeliest way to come in over the seating capacity.

I used to ridicule Omaha. Grew up 20 miles from there. No more. Nice town. Lots of things to do. Just stay away from the near North side to avoid being murdered.

Of course, I know there are a lot of great parts and places in Omaha. However, some of the
neighborhoods have never recovered, from the 70's. And the worst part of it.....Omaha is located in NE, not IOWA :D

Even North O during the day isn't that bad. I'd stay away from 30th and Ames at night though.

Can't wait for Barta to add box seats, while taking away more regular seats. But only take away enough to keep us in the top25.

Cuz that's what Iowa is, 25th and no better.
