That's why Game Day will not be there! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

NOTE: Per BTN, PSU-Iowa will be just the 2nd-ever Big Ten AP Top 4 matchup not involving Michigan or Ohio State. The other was in 1960, when #1 Iowa lost at #3 Minnesota.

This is a nice discussion of the upcoming big game in Iowa City and of the state of the B1G.

Both Dan and Pete, however, think that tOSU ultimately wins the B1G because of their pure talent; they discuss that tOSU is fixing their issues and will continue to evolve into a better team over the next 8 weeks. I have been fearing exactly that. What do you think?

tOSU's remaining schedule? Maryland, at IU, PSU at home, at Debbie, Purdue, MSU at home and at Michigan.

Game Day is overrated

I totally understand Game Day not coming. They were just in Iowa a couple of weeks ago with Iowa as one of the teams involved. Fox is having their crew there, and the game is on Fox. The Red River game has great history.
They have been there already SIX TIMES.

Haha ESPN said “suck it”

Who actually gives a damn about Game Day? It's been passé for most college football fans for years. ESPN and its SEC sycophants deserve each other.

So many people. Many of them in this thread. They’re all like the crazy old man yelling at the sky to me

The only question is who will the bear take, if that game is on his bored (intentional).

hasn’t he picked against Iowa twice already?

what three games will be on his selection sheet?

I used to love Corso on that show … but now … he is hard to watch.

I find myself pulling for him to make a complete sentence, but more often than not , it is a fail.

Without him, though, they are just the same old talking heads going around the table like any other pre-game show.

I am REALLY hoping the Bear picks against us again Saturday.

Game Day is overrated
yet we all watch

College Game Day is still a big deal.

Chris Hassel, Iowa media, posters on here, and more were tweeting/posting about whether or not Iowa would get it this week. Everyone was talking about how long its been since Iowa City hosted it. And why? Because it's a big deal for the school and the program because ESPN puts the spotlight on both.

Thousands of fans show up for College Game Day with signs, and why? Because it's a big deal.

I find it funny that now that Iowa did not get it, suddenly College Game Day is not a big deal and no one really watches it.

Typical fan reaction.

There is really no reason for GameDay to be in Iowa City. From espn perspective: Big noon is already there. Having a second location for a pregame show wouldn’t be ideal. Fox is carrying the game so why give them free advertising? Already have done GameDay with Iowa and PSU this year. Need to get Texas in before they drop of a cliff. No brainer.

I understand why ESPN College Game Day won't be in Iowa City.

My points were related to the fact that College Game Day is still a big deal. Getting to host it and having the spotlight on your campus and on your program is a big deal.
