Iowa City police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Sunday.
The robbery happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday at the Casey’s at 204 N. Dubuque St. according to a news release from the police department.
The suspect was described in the news release only as a male with scruffy facial hair and wearing a blue beanie and a tan coat. He walked north on Dubuque Street after the robbery with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at (319) 356-5275, or through the Iowa City Crime Stoppers at (319) 358-8477 or online at iccrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest, the release states.
