Iowa Democrat Senate candidate wants to make state 'liberal' like California

Lulz, good luck friend.
Good luck with what? I’m not here to change the world. I really don’t care. It’s going to burn or turn no matter what. In the meantime, score as much as possible, exercise, treat people right and teach others who can be helped.

Good grief... It's in post #46. The same post #46 that you responded to with a laughing emoticon.

You're asking for a link when one has already been provided and there is even proof that you've seen it. Weird...

You're a bizarre little fella...
Lol. Tell me, please tell me, how post #46 resolves this.

You're an unmitigated idiot.

On the positive side, in some CA cities, if you steal less than $600 from a business, you can leave with no repercussions.
Correction: It is a misdemeanor if you steal less than $950 in ALL CA cities. (Which equates to a couple tanks of high octane gas at the moment) But if you steal more than, it’s fine cause you can still vote.

"Like Iowa used to be," Franken said. "We would swing at ideas well before states like California."

Iowa was smart decades ago. We were progressive. Look up the definition of progressive Northern. We were forward looking and enthusiastic. Now we have the same shitty and pessimistic attitude as most states. Everyone is at everyone's throats and vitriol and hatred is the theme at the barber shop.

I don't even want to walk around town anymore. My family has been torn apart by this and it's not the liberal side that's created the split. It's the conservative side that harbors the hate. All you have to do is listen to conservative media. Their formula for existence.

The left is the biggest joke in my lifetime. All they have to do is be moderate and not insane to gain the support of myself and other right leaning voters. Instead, they lose their freaking minds. I am livid that I actually voted for this disaster. What a stain on our country.

Wow. You have some problems. Maybe you should start looking inward.

Always someone else's fault huh?

If you are arguing the cynicism and vitriol doesn't come from the conservative side, you're nuts.

I have very little to blame anyone for anything as long as people are honest and ethical. I'm honestly liberal in my thinking

I do find it annoying when people search for reasons to attack and assault others undeservedly.

During a campaign event at a high school in Des Moines, Iowa, retired Navy Vice Admiral Michael Franken, the Iowa Democrat taking on longtime Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, said that he wanted to "change" the state to have more "progressive thought" than California.

"Like Iowa used to be," Franken said. "We would swing at ideas well before states like California."

Well....if Iowa could just get the GDP of San Francisco county, they'd double their GDP.

Would this be a "bad" thing, to you, and for Iowans?

And if you're arguing cynicism and vitriol is exclusive to either "side", you're nuts. And as another poster mentioned, you would benefit from a long, figurative look in the mirror.

Huh, "Make Iowa Great Again!" Interesting strategy by the liberal.

The democratic party can no longer carry of banner of being "progressive." There is nothing progressive about trying to overwhelm the U.S. with illegal immigrants that we can't take care of. There is nothing progressive about abandoning the governments responsibility to protect it's citizens from swelling crime. There is nothing progressive about spending our country into bankruptcy.

The democratic party should more accurately call itself the American Socialist Party.

It is August 2, about 100 days before the election and Grassley’s folks are running scared and pulling quotes out of context to attack their opponent.
I guess Franken is correct....Grassley has never had an election like this one is going to be!
It is showing, already.
