Maybe it always will.

Very seldom a killer instinct on display. Very seldom a no holds barred, we will not be denied display on the field.

It's usually "the other guy" when it comes right down to it.

This is fact and won't change any time soon. Thank you, Iowa football, for reminding me of this so early in the season. I have throttled from low expectations to no expectations.

The NDSU program's constitution is doing just fine.

I was just talking about that. We are very business like and pretty much devoid of emotion. Pretty much the same as Ferentz's personality. We never come out to make a statement. Very frustrating.

I think this narrative is overblown. There was plenty of killer instinct and emotion just last week as we annihilated hated in-state rival ISU.

How was our killer instinct and emotion as we went 12-0 last season?

Come on, guys. Back from the ledge. Deep breath. Geez.

It's the athletic department, it needs to be reconstructed from the ground up. From Barta to Ferentz to Davis. Old-school football no longer works, conservatism kills a football team. The attitude of "try your best" that we've had under Ferentz for years is something that needs to be dropped. As you said, we lack killer instinct and the raw desire to win. And until we get some big changes, it's not going to change any time soon.
