Iowa Hawkeyes Backcourt

That doesn't also include Hutton who will play on top of our zone defense. Dude will play defense on many quality guards.

Hutton might play on top of the zone on defense, but I would hardly consider him a backcourt player at this stage of his career, so his omission from this write up is warranted since it deals with the backcourt specifically.

Tony isn't saying he should be included in the backcourt, just that he'll be called on to defend guards from time to time.

It has been said that Hutton will play the 2/3 this year so that puts him in a back court grey area. He's not afraid to go right at takkrt players near the rim but more importantly he finishes.

Maybe Hutton will guard 2-3 at times, but that doesn't make him a guard, and he has a ways to go to guard the 2 this year. This OP article assumes MG, Sapp, Jok in the guard rotation as we all do. There is no mention of Williams. This indicates to me that the author considers him a possible RS candidate. CW has upside as a PG but with MG and Sapp still here a RS is possible but certainly not a sure thing. Some of that may be determined by how well other players, such as Fleming, work out as back-up PGs for 2015. That leaves Ellingson, Fleming, Moss as legitimate candidates the author of this article considers for 2 spots in a 10-man rotation for PT.

I'm expecting Jok to play more at the three as the season goes on.
