Teams with individual national champs win team titles. Iowa has had very few national champs as of late. That needs to change. And our recruiting strategy needs to reflect that change of thinking.

I prefer 10 National Champions, but if we don't get any and still hoist the Team Title Trophy, I'll live with it.

Minnesota didn't give theirs back and they didn't even have a finalist, if they won't give it back nobody else should either. 🙂

Tony's ranking is a joke based off a fluke pin, especially given his history against the 3/4/5 ranked guys.

Yep, not only has he beaten 3/4/and 5, but he has never lost to any of them. He is the 3rd best heavy until someone other than Gable and Parris beat him.

all americans win titles too.....we have some finalists on paper but..... rankings don’t matter til tournament time.....lotta wrestling to do 👍

Yes. But all-Americans can be replaced/developed. And Spencer does need a supporting cast.

We’ve had many AA’s and very few national champs lately.

yea wasn’t disagreeing with you..... we should have some national champs in the room besides Spencer......Desanto Eirman Marinelli Kemerer all have a legitimate shot if they wrestle a good tournament.....
just saying those guys in the wrestle backs are crucial too..... but you know that

Yeah last year I thought Kem, Lee, Marinelli, and Jaydin.
Glad we won the title but disappointed for Marinelli and especially Kem and Jaydin since they made it to the finals.
Even though we won the team championship it still sucked watching PSU with four Champs.

I think it sucked more for them knowing they had 4 champs and still couldn't catch us.
